Meet Nancy Plagman, RN, LMT
Nice to meet you! My name is Nancy Plagman. I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1997. I offer a wide variety of massage techniques. I continue to learn new techniques which I incorporate into my massage. My massage can be adjusted to fit most peoples needs. I am also an RN and I have an understanding of how the body works.
Over the years my clients have been varied. I have worked with 102 year olds to kids on RAGBRAI. I have worked with Iron men participants, Marathon runners, ultra biking riders, people who have fallen off their bikes, those who have had joint replacements, lots of people with sore feet and necks and shoulders.
My massages are all different focusing on individual needs. My massage is deep, going in slowly as not to cause the body to guard. Then I am able to work deeply, getting a response of “it hurts good” and the client is still able to relax. I teach stretching techniques if needed to facilitate healing.
One of the biggest benefits of massage is body awareness. When you are aware of what you are doing and where you are sore, then you can make changes in how you hold yourself. I help you with that awareness.
The Importance of Massage
What is the big deal about massage? Why are so many people including it in their budget?
Here are a few reasons why:
Make Massage Part of Your Wellness Plan
Massage is not just a “treat” you occasionally give yourself. Massage is a part of living a healthy life style. It is part of your wellness program. The relaxed body is able to stay in balance promoting over-all physical and mental health.
Helping You Relax into Life
My mission is to provide a caring safe comfortable quiet environment, bringing a knowledge base of how the body works, massage techniques that are needed in each individual situation all working together for one goal, to assist people to heal by helping them come back into balance.
